ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT: WHY DEI EFFORTS ARE AT A STANDSTILL TODAY
Hosted by Aiko Smith, Community Director @ Netwomen
“Research finds over half of us feel excluded and isolated at work. A lot of companies are experiencing employee fatigue with diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. Workers feel exhausted, frustrated, and skeptical that their DEI efforts will result in tangible outcomes.” – Forbes
Nothing is more discouraging than committing significant time and resources to a strategy that yields no progress or tangible results.
Netwomen’s mission is to upend the status quo and create safe spaces where we can come together and share insights, experiences, and what we can do to take action and create a more fair and equitable future for one another.
That said, we would like to invite you to join in this conversation with Division Directors Tara Lehman (Trucking and Transportation), Elizabeth Ionita (Technology), and Rahni Jenkins (Healthcare) where they will be exploring:
- Systemic barriers to implementing strategic DEI
- Aligning DEI efforts to corporate objectives
- Why DEI needs to be a collective undertaking
We know how challenging it is to find time on the calendar, so this session will be recorded and made available on-demand for future reference.
However, for those of you who will be joining live, we will stop the recording at the end to allow for an interactive Q&A.
If you work with, or know anyone that might find value in this session, please share with them!
We look forward to seeing you there!
