Enjoy the festive season - netwomen.co

The holidays are an amazingly wonderful time of the year. Filled with joy, cheer, and gratitude in
bucket loads.
It’s the only time of year where everywhere you look, people seem to be in high spirits: being
kind, taking time to pause and reflect and looking after those less fortunate.
On the other hand, the festive season can also become a source of overwhelm with work
parties (hello Prime Minister!), buying gifts, and family gatherings, and, of course, the endless
pressure of the “perfect Christmas”.

It’s easy to become bogged down and unhappy with yourself during Christmas, but it doesn’t
have to be this way. Make a commitment to take care of yourself this holiday season. We advise
you to enjoy this holiday! And enjoying it by not planning too much into it. Let events unfold
naturally and just concentrate on enjoying every moment. We spend the whole year planning
and working according to schedules and plans, allow this time to be unplanned, and just go with
the flow and have fun. Especially after the wild ride of the pandemic, allow yourself time to

Clear your mind of goals, schedules, and routines, this is a time for you to be spontaneous.
Have fun! Have a child-like excitement-filled festive holiday. Join in kids’ games if you have to.
Allow yourself to feel crazy and carefree, nobody will judge you, and even if they did, trust me,
they aren’t having anywhere near as much fun as you are. After all, It’s a time to distress and be
worry-free so make like Elsa and let it go. Be a free spirit.

Do things you have never done before, try recipes you have never tried before.
Fancy a curried turkey? Good thing you have leftovers! Go on long drives with no particular
destination in mind, stop at every turn, play some music, dance, and celebrate. Say yes to
others’ parties you meet along the way (maybe avoid No.10 – we hear it was a bit rowdy last
year), the more the merrier (as long as you are safe). Have an adventure of fun and if you can, take
a lot of photos because when all else is done, they are what will remain to stir your memories –
and tell the grandkids!
This year take the bra off and let loose. No one needs a twinset and pearls. No one needs to be
perfect. No one needs that pressure.
Relax. Pull on your leggings and get out in the snow. We never know just how precious life is
and if there is one thing we have learned over the last few years it’s that tomorrow is never
guaranteed. So get out. Get silly. And have the time of your lives.
Merry Christmas, from all of us here at Netwomen.co – we wish you the best for 2022.

See you very soon.

Love and cheer Netwomen team x
